Dad came and got the girls, thank the rain god because cabin fever was threatening to shorten all our lives, and when they left Jack threw himself against the door and screamed. Then he climbed up on his window table and pressed his forehead into the glass and screamed as they pulled away.
To distract him, I put his boots on and let him play in the rain. (I should mention that in the last week he’s learned to bring me shoes and then climb into my lap facing outward so that I can put them on. Then he runs to the door and says “bye!” only since we’re from the South it comes out “buheeeye!”. Okay I don’t know how to spell what he says. Use your imagination)
I stood in the rain with an umbrella for a while, dog shivering and pitiful at my feet. When rain started coming at me sideways, I said “buueye!” to Jack and came inside for the camera. Click any image to jump to flickr for the whole set.
