Can one die of mold poisoning? Can a pregnant person be harmed to do harm to the baby by breathing in mold all day? Or is this just a ‘drives you crazy and makes you want to tear your eyes out but whoops! Not big deal!” kind of thing? I’m reminded of those few months when my hand was curled into a claw and the toes on my left hand wouldn’t bend and one was swollen double its size. It wasn’t CONSTANT pain necessarily, but certainly the reminder that there was something Very Wrong with my body never did let up. It truly sucked the joy out of my life, and the same thing is happening now, when let’s face it, I should really be concentrating on eking some of the fun out of pregnancy before the weight gain and constant peeing make me want to kill every non –pregnant person I see on the street.
If I have to hear “well, you’re doing the floor, right?” one more mother fucking time I might seriously go postal. So the reason we didn’t finish up last weekend is because since we’re putting in a floor we have PLENTY OF TIME to finish up and get inspections? Um NO! THE FLOOR DOES NOT HAVE TO BE IN FOR US TO GET INSPECTED AND MOVE! As you know, Internet, this is a delicate operation; while there is much to gain from going around my father, or behind his back (just hire an HVAC guy to finish! Get an electrician!), there is far more to lose. I just wish that the rest of the world (read: the people working on my house) had to live in this body for a few nights with no end in sight.
We’re moving into that f-ing house with plywood floors, Internet. Because I can’t afford a hotel suite right now, and I CAN’T STAND THIS MOLDY HEAT SYSTEM ANYMORE! My eyes burn. My sinuses, while dry, are so stopped up that I can no longer taste food. At different points in the day, I become wheezy, asthmatic, and unable to breathe.
Ball of fun, that Summer. I certainly am sicker than others today, though, eh?
