I talked to my brother today! Well, after a fashion, via IM, which actually is my preferred method of conversation anyway so I can almost tell myself that it was very considerate of him to accomodate me that way instead of forcing me to make small talk over an actual telephone. Although to be truthful, whether it’s been 13 years or 6 months or 12 months, it seems that my brother and I (and this holds true for my older sister as well) just fall back into our thing and pick up where we left off. I’d love to have more contact with my siblings, obviously, but I’m grateful that the contact we have is so easy.
