At Least Avery Likes It

Multimedia message

Here’s what happened (I blame Michael): yesterday I heard the clippers going- they sound a little like a jet taking off so they’re hard to miss. Later when Jack was playing in the bathroom I thought “I know! I’ll finish cutting his hair while he’s in here and I’m thinking about it real quick before I take Avery to school”

Okay, first: real quick before you leave the house? what the hell.
and also? Note to self: Learn how to read the guards on the clippers.

This is where I think my husband shares the blame. He was using the clippers! So my logic went something like “Oh this must be the right guard since he was just using these” and so I swiped away at my son with the #1 guard on there and quickly discovered two things:

he no longer enjoys the loud buzzing of the clippers
and
the #1 guard is- well. you can see the photo.

Of note is the fact that the #1 guard IS the correct guard, and the one my husband uses… to trim his beard.

As is often the case when I dive into a project without forethought or research, Michael had to step in a mop up after me, mahandling Jack’s head while he finished the horror show.

When it was all said and done we had trash can full of curls and a child who needs sunscreen every time he leaves the house. I tried to get Michael to buzz my hair (you know, solidarity!) but he declined.
