It’s no secret that I’m a crier. Most recently the Jon and Kate event commercial brought me to tears a record 5 times in one hour (why must they show the ad over and over and over again!). I’m not talking about the show, folks. I mean just the ad for the show, that one moment where the camera pans Kate’s face as she looks up at Jon and a smile crosses her lips. That’s when I feel the lump in my throat. By the time she’s running down the walkway with a bouquet in her hand, I’m done for.

Today Keith Oberman got me. As tears roll down my face and I attempt to swallow down a lump te size of a grapefruit in my throat, I can’t help but flash back to the Jon and Kate promo. How is it possible that a majority in two states would deny that same happiness because of a person’s gender? How can you live with yourself?
