My inlaws have gone, and things are very quiet around the house. I had hoped to begin the new year with purpose, mindfulness and a peaceful heart, but that’s not to be. Perhaps the lesson is that no matter how we begin a year, we are free to change the course of our lives at any time. I will work with enthusiasm toward this.
