that's right. i missed another one

Is this the library gods rebuking me for checking out DVDs during Low Media Month? (Inconvenient Truth! Doesn’t that count for something?) I’m following the links correctly! I’ve been using the Internet Tubes for a while now, and I’m sure I’m doing this right. It’s not my FAULT the online renewal system is down! I’m racking up 2.00 a day in late fees for every day that my three year old refuses to visit the library because of the blood on her chin.

What am I, evil? There’s no way I’m going to make the kid leave the house and show her hideous face in public. I know what you’re thinking, and I’ve already considered the curbside drop off box. Hi, welcome to Small Town America where our local library is housed on three shelves in the back of the student library at the community college satellite campus. No curbside dropoff. Really I thought for sure she’d just get over it, and that I could entice her with toddler story hour on Wednesday.

Instead we’ve been stuck here all week, prisoners of her vanity. Hey, believe me I’m not berating her. I’ve been known to stay inside for the entire 8 days it takes for a fever blister to come and go. In the past I’ve even considered staying home from work during those excruciating weeks.

Poor kid, she won’t even look in a mirror.
