Never, under any circumstance, insist to your 13-year old that it’s dinnertime. Evidently, a 13 year old cannot be forced to eat if they are not hungry, is allowed to decide for herself when it’s time to eat, and is within her rights to be a snappy asshole when someone suggests dinner.
The thing I’m most excited about today, instead of my NEW SET OF STAIRS, is that I get to do this ALL OVER AGAIN in just a few short years, but with two of them to gang up on me at once.

Heh. Yeah I'm sort of glad mine are spread out by at least 3 years each, so they cannot gang up too much. I've got one who will come to the table even if she isn't hungry, and 2 who would rather skip the family meal and graze the rest of the day. We'll see how the boy turns out! You just never know.
